About me
Hi, I'm Kyle. I'm a journalist with a passion for local news coverage and creating a strong digital presence for news outlets. My newsroom experiences have taken me through all sorts of media — I've worked at a small community newspaper, a metro newspaper, an NPR member radio station and local TV stations.

I graduated with a bachelor’s of journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2016, and I graduated in May 2019 with my master's degree (also from Mizzou). My background is primarily in digital editing and print design, and I have professional newsroom experience as a Dow Jones copy editing intern at The Kansas City Star and as a news intern at Catalan News Agency.
I spent two years as a graduate teaching assistant at the Columbia Missourian, where I trained page designers how to produce pages and manage workflows on deadline. I held students to a high standard, and it's paid off — five different students I've trained were hired as teaching assistants later on.

In 2019, I landed at KSTP in St. Paul, where I have been working as a Digital Producer, managing the station's website, social media platforms, livestreams and mobile app.
